The issue of Personal Identification Number (PIN) Codes for the 12,594 Ghanaian nursing trainees who must perform their one-year mandatory national service in the approaching 2023/2024 service year has been announced by the National Service Scheme (NSS).

These 107 certified Nursing Training Institutions around the nation’s final-year nursing students have met the requirements established by the Nurses and Midwives Council, Ghana Health Service, and Ministry of Health, making them qualified for deployment during their national service.

Eligible nursing trainees were invited to visit the NSS website (www.nss.gov.gh) and scroll to the “Applications” menu in a news release published in Accra and signed by Mr. Ambrose Entsiwah Jnr, the Acting Director of Corporate Affairs of the National Service Scheme.

They might obtain their own NSS registration PIN Codes by utilizing the allotted Students’ ID or Index Numbers from their respective universities. They then had to pay GHC40.00 at any ADB Bank Ltd. branch or GHC41.00 via the MTN MoMo platform in order to start the enrollment procedure.

The statement stressed how crucial it is for nursing students to enroll themselves in order to avoid any missteps that might affect their deployment in the future.

All qualified nursing trainees were instructed to complete the enrolling procedure before to the deadline of Friday, June 9, 2023 in order to be included in this year’s posts.

This NSS program is anticipated to make it easier for competent nursing trainees to enlist and be deployed, giving them the opportunity to provide national service in the healthcare industry.
